Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Reaches 4 Million Registered Accounts!

It's kinda humorous that Square Enix had one of the biggest MMORPG failures of all time, and one of the most amazing MMORPG comebacks of all time. According to Square, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has reached 4 million registered users. With this announcement, comes a gift from Square. Players with lapsed subscriptions can begin to login for free starting tomorrow, February 27th at 12:00 A.M. PST. The login campaign will run through Monday, March 9th. In order to be eligible you must have purchased the game at one point.

With an expansion on the way, and recent patches adding in a ton of new content, this move is not that surprising. In fact, it's expected in order to drive up active subscriptions. I'll be re-downloading A Realm Reborn, if only to check out the new chocobo racing mini game. That's why people subscribe right?
